Add members to a group chat

Any member of an existing group chat can add their Status contacts to the chat. The maximum number of members is 50. Due to Status's security policy, new joiners won't be able to see the previous message history.

Add members

  1. From the tab bar, tap Messages.
  2. Open the group chat you want to add new members to.
  3. From the navigation bar, tap More options.
  4. Tap Add members. If you're the group chat owner, this will say Add / remove members for you.
  5. Check the boxes next to the contacts you want to invite. Once you're done, tap Confirm changes.
  1. From the navigation sidebar, click Chat.
  2. Open the group chat you want to add new members to.
  3. From the navigation bar at the top, click More options.
  4. Click Add / remove from group.
  5. Type the Status handle of the contact you want to invite and select them. Once you're done, click Confirm.
